In 1981, the 11th and 12th president of the Republic of Korea, emphasized the importance of early childhood
education, as the starting point for building up a welfare state. Accordingly, the first lady established the ‘Korean Association
for the Fostering and Education of the New Generation’ for the development of individual, society and nation. The name of the
Association changed into 'ai corea' in January 2006.
Affiliated Sae-se dae Kindergarten of The Foundation for ai corea has initiated from the Model Nursery School in 1983 to
improve the quality of early childhood education. Afterwards, according to the revised publishment of the early childhood
education promotion law, it has been transformed to the current affiliated kindergarten in 1992. Affiliated Kindergarten strives to continue educational research focusing on young children's development to become sound democratic citizens. It also carries out the following missions.
